A Workshop to Strengthen Mothers Raising Daughters Ages 10-24

Adolescents are in a complex phase of development. They are managing significant physical, emotional, and spiritual changes. During this same period, mothers are managing their own phases of evolution and navigating significant changes within their physical, personal, and professional lives.

How can we help mothers parent adolescents managing intense changes, as they manage intense changes themselves?

In this 3-hour workshop, Marlaine Jean-Miller, MD and Amanda Aronson, M.Ed, will lead an exploration of this important question to help you align your stage of evolution with your child’s stage of development. We want to help educate you, so you can be intentional and confident in your parenting and not lose awareness of your own needs in the process.

This experience will involve a formal presentation by Dr. Jean-Miller on content relative to changing hormones, peri-menopause, and menopause, as well as a formal presentation by Ms. Aronson on the phases of adolescent development and special areas of concern in 2022. Both presentations will be followed by dedicated Q & A.

Come in comfortable clothes and be prepared to integrate what you have learned through individual reflection and partnered/small-group sharing. You will leave with a better sense of how to align your life with your child’s as you both manage periods of growth and change.
